The English teacher participates in classes and accompanies the children in play during trips, is present at special events. Children learn English quickly and effortlessly while absorbing their knowledge naturally.
Classes in our kindergarten are conducted on the basis of the early partial immersion method, thanks to which children "immerse" in the English language accompanying them not only during didactic activities, but also in everyday situations, such as greeting, getting dressed, cleaning toys , having fun together, walking. Hearing statements in a foreign language in natural situations, the child imitates them and actively participates in linguistic interaction.
There are two ways to learn English at Happy Hippo. An English teacher "follows" the curriculum of preschool education. Thanks to this, Children acquire knowledge in two languages simultaneously. English classes are based on Jolly Phonics textbooks and on the basis of the early partial immersion method, i.e. by creating a real, natural environment for learning a foreign language. Children are immersed in the accompanying English language not only during classes, but also during everyday situations, such as greeting, getting dressed, cleaning toys, playing together, and walking. Hearing statements in a foreign language in natural situations, the child imitates them and actively participates in linguistic interaction.
In our Kindergarten, games and activities are the basic form of learning. Children learn language through play, which is the most natural activity for them.
As a supplement to English language classes, we implement projects from the Mother Goose Time series. MGT is an innovative program and various educational materials imported from the United States. The MGT program shapes language skills and mathematical skills, as well as broadening knowledge of art and science, and shapes social ties and relations in English.
Our kindergarten also takes part in the international project Say Hello to The World in which children from European Union countries take part. During the classes, we connect via Skype with kindergartens in other countries. It is an innovative form of linguistic and cultural education that effectively motivates children to communicate in English.
